I have been horrendously busy the last couple of weeks. but they've been great.
Practical sessions at school have been really intense lately and wonderful. Just the other day i got to see newborn goats.
A single female gave birth to three kids and the second one had an umbilical hernia, which means that its small intestine was slipping out through its unclosed navel. The intestine was cleaned, pushed back in slowly and gently, and the navel was sutured shut.
That was intense and it wasn't even half the practical session. We saw two lambs being born and cleaned out a couple of abscesses.
I really like goats.
But something more of us can agree on, is crafts.
I have been playing this amazing game titled plants vs zombies.
And my favorite level happens on the roof
(And the little video inserting app is not working)
Yay, got it working.
So liking knitting and crocheting I've decided to embark in knitting the plants (or at least some of them)
Life is a joke that's just begun

A book tutorial
I had been toying for some time with the idea of needle books and finally got around to making one.
But then, I wasn't all that satisfied with how the first want behaved and also wanted to make a tutorial.
So, here we go:
You repeat this one step a few times, and each of these sets will be four pages in your book.
Terribly sorry for the quality on some of these. Anyway, we proceed until we have all the pages joined. Then it's time for the cover
The purple rectangles, are the size of the pages plus a centimeter adden in height and another in length, so that your cover will be just a tad bigger than your pages and cover them nicely. they are separated by a 3 cm wide rectangle that will be the spine. Extra fabric is seam allowance ( please add more seam allowance than what I added here, makes it much easier)
you will cover the area of these 2 purple rectangles with fusible interfacing.
Here you will determine which will be the front cover, and which the back cover. And embroider the title or something on the front cover.
Then you attach the pages to the cover by hand.
But then, I wasn't all that satisfied with how the first want behaved and also wanted to make a tutorial.
So, here we go:
First you have to make your pages, I reccommend a thin non fray fabric so that you don't need to do anything to the edges.
Next, you hold a pairof your cut pieces, fold in half and draw a line that nicely divides it in half.
You repeat this one step a few times, and each of these sets will be four pages in your book.
Then comes the part about putting them together. This part pretty much has to be done by hand.
You're going to want to sew the fabric closest to the line of stitching of the outermost page to the fabric in basically the same place in another set of four pages.
You also do this a lot.for my second book, I had six of theses sets of four pages. They are all joined in exactly the same manner.
The purple rectangles, are the size of the pages plus a centimeter adden in height and another in length, so that your cover will be just a tad bigger than your pages and cover them nicely. they are separated by a 3 cm wide rectangle that will be the spine. Here you will determine which will be the front cover, and which the back cover. And embroider the title or something on the front cover.
I really wantedd to do a little book of mudora but it didn't quite turn out.
You add 3 more layers of fusible interfacing and some nice thick padded upholstery fabric.
And start folding the edges and sewing.
You then sew right on top of these blue lines to reinforce the place where you will attach the pages.
And there you go, you have a book.
I still feel like I should add a sunflower to the cover.

Yesterday I went to the circus and heard a song I hadn't heard in some time.
I love that song, so I decided to search for it using only the words:

Miraculously it worked. For your enjoyent I present Jeux d'Enfants from Cirque du Soleil's Alegria
What songs from Cirque du Soleil do you like??

New year, first blog
This is my first time doing a blog and it was due to a friend's blog and an inkling to share ideas.
Let me introduce myself, I am an unaverage guy with a variety of interests focusing mainly on crafts and living things, that is probably why I'm a vet student. Anyway, here in the blog I'll go by the penname Karael.
Now let me share my interests with you.
As a vet student there's a great number of animals I like
(Proper way to keep a bird)
I like threadcrafts, mainly knitting and tatting
I like the water tribes
I like men
And both Luma and I love cons
That is my brief introduction.
